Dark light/shade conditions continue to be a challenge for me, you look like you've got it figured out!

The main issue I had was too much bright light so the shade was good. Someone mentioned Philip Lorca di Corcia and made me think about how it would work with a lightbox.

Robbie Lawrence is one of my favourite contemporary photographers. Such a unique eye. ‘A Voice Above the Linn’ is a wonderful book and I have his latest, ‘Long Walk Home’, still in its packaging awaiting the right moment for my first look through.

Yes, I saw that on your Jotter and was heartened to see. Curious to hear what you think.

I think these images capture the parkrun vibe so well! Thank you for sharing them

And this "A more orthodox photographer might say they are underexposed, too dark, too tightly-cropped, too grainy." is why I love this work! Thanks for sharing!

thanks for the intro to Robbie, love the feel

you’ve inspired me to venture south of the river and give pollok parkrun a go instead of the usual ruchill

Neil Scott's avatar

Better views from Ruchill but Pollok is magical

Thanks! She is getting faster and faster while I am getting slower and slower. I think we’ll converge in about two years.

Good point. Mainly to break up the flow but possibly out of place.
