Nice to read something informed about yoga. I did Iyenegar quite a bit at one time but the current 'I did my 200 hours in Bali' scene has me running for the hills.

Fortunately, I live with the expert! @Laura Gonzalez

Lovely piece, Neil you may have just inspired me to return to Yoga again. In search of being ‘transformed both physically and in calmness and clarity.’ X

Thanks Neil! I don’t quite know how to fit it into my daily life but would love to do 40 minutes in the morning.

Hi Neil. Great thought about Ashtanga being a matrix for you to develop your practice. so knowing the sequence is only the first step. thanks for your thoughts

Thanks Rui. It’s an introduction to a body that moves.

Loved reading this. I just started a limited yoga journey through youtube and I really enjoyed reading your perspective and experience. I admit I was a bit freaked out by Jois and the video, which I couldn't watch in its entirety.

Thank you! If you can find a good teacher who knows anatomy their suggestions can help enormously. But self-practice and experimentation is the best. Sorry about the Jois video. Difficult to imagine how he became a guru. I guess he had must have has in-person charisma.
